General Questions & Answers

Who can play the Southern Collegiate Amateur Series events?

The events are for collegiate level, or collegiate aged golfers, both Male & Female & select amateur golfers with a playing record; incoming collegiate level players will be permitted to enter as well. Events are open events in nature and are invitational.

Are these ranking events?

Each event will award WAGR points and will be officially recognized by the World Amateur Golf Rankings.

Are Caddies or Spectators Allowed?

Details on player guests, such as caddies or spectators, will be emailed to all registered players prior to each event. Each event will work with the host facility to operate within their procedures for guest access. Players entering should assume they will not be permitted to bring a caddie, but will receive formal correspondence prior to the event as to what procedures are to be followed.

Are these events walking or played in riding carts?

Each event will decide and correspond on walking or riding in advance of the competition, based on field size and host facility accommodations and cart availability.

Is there a cut?

Depending on the final field size, a small cut of 25-33% of the field may be included, and if so, will be announced prior to the event.

Practice Rounds?

Each event will enable one practice round per registered player. For the Palm Beach, and Jupiter Collegiate, practice rounds will be restricted to the day before the event; the Atlantic and Miami Collegiate events will allow registered players to book up to one week prior to the event, based on course availability.
